I LOVE summer! 

I love the bright fun colors, wearing fun flowery sandals, lemonade stands, popsicles, family and friend BBQ's, swimming, and all the time I get to spend with my kids. 

With summer being halfway over I figured I would give you some What to Wear guides. Enjoy them and use them as inspiration, even for early fall. I love just a little pop of color!

Summer Days....{Thornton Colorado Family Photographer}

Summer days are getting fewer and fewer! It is amazing to me how fast the summer goes. I had all these plans of things to do with my kids during summer break, and have decided now that we only have about a month before school starts I better get doing them :) But the hot summer days make me want to stay in my nice cool house and eat Mr. Freeze pops while reading books to my kids. 

Anyway, through all the heat and fires this summer I have been able to photograph so many great families! Here is one that I met last fall. They are so much fun and lil' Mister is so darn cute! Being the age he is, he was go, go, go the whole session :) Here are a few of their shots. Enjoy!

Family.....{Thornton CO Photographer}

The first of the month I took off and made my first long drive (8 hours) by myself. Actually I don't think I have ever driven more than an hour by myself. But I decided to brave it. I packed up the kids in the car and drove us all to Utah to visit family. It actually went very smoothly and was a much needed vacation!

While I was there I asked my brother if I could take pictures of his family. They wanted some pictures at their home and they have great property to do it. Take a look at the pictures and see how close they are to the mountains!!! I so miss having mountains at my front porch :)

And it is flying by as usual! I cannot believe school has already been out for 4 weeks! Time does fly when you are having fun. And summer fun always brings craziness around my house! Things have been busy and crazy but I wanted you all to know I am still here and kicking! So here is my latest session. Enjoy!

Mothers Day Shoot

As I have been pushing moms to get in front of the camera I wanted to share a little session I recently had. Mom was visiting and was nice enough to give us all hair cuts in exchange for pictures of her son. Being the week before mothers day, I had to have her jump in with them :)

The best part, we took them right by my house, no traveling required. 
Challenge for today: Where ever you are, you can always find a little spot that is picture worthy!

I hope that you had a wonderful mothers day! Mine was the best I've had (I will probably say the same thing next year :) Very relaxing, love pouring out of my children and husband and an overwhelming love for motherhood.

This year my goal is to be in front of the camera more. This is hard for me, because I am SO much more comfortable behind the lens :) So for my mothers day gift this year I decided to get some pictures of me and my kids. I got together with a local photographer, Corrie with CLB Photography. It was so much fun and I now have SO many great pictures to cherish :) Thanks Corrie!!
