Note From the Photographer

HI! I'm Becky Anderson. I am a natural light photographer. I find that natural light captures the emotion and personality of those I photograph best.

I do the majority of my photographs outdoors for two reasons. One, I love the element that nature, with its deep hues and filtered light, brings to the photo. Second, the natural light in the openness of the great outdoors brings an artistic element to photos that is gorgeous and unique.

If you are interested in scheduling a session or have any questions, please e-mail me at b.anderson.photography@gmail.com

I hope you enjoy my capture of life's greatest moments.

I am located in Thornton Colorado and serve the north Denver area. Also willing to travel, please contact me.

Some good stuff......

Going through all my last years photos I have realized what an amazing year 2012 was.

This past year I meet up with some other local photographers and participate in a Style Shoot. It was fun to be with a bunch of other women doing what we love and sharing ideas and tips. And the location and Models were beautiful! A huge thanks to the women who put it together, it was fantastic!

Here is the first of 3 posts. Hopefully the next 2 won't take as long to get posted.

Thinking of warmer weather......{Thornton Colorado Photographer}

Just cleaning up my computer files and ran across these. This family was amazing to work with. It was nice to get away from my usual crazy lady entertainment for a smile, they did it on command. These girls are all beautiful and just as fun! Enjoy the green grass and perfect summer pictures.

New Year.......Last years sessions :)

I am so behind with blogging! Sorry to those that pictures haven't been showcased :) But here is the beginning of my effort to get caught up. Enjoy the faces of these adorable little boys (and mom and dad too)! They were so much fun and the oldest is ALL boy. He enjoyed picking up sticks and leaves, jumping of the bridge and tromping around. Boys are so much fun, gotta love em'!

The Olivia Act

The Olivia Act is an initiative that I have joined and was started by a lovely photographer who wishes to remain anonymous.
It is named after one one of the children killed in Newtown. Olivia’s family had pictures taken a short time before she was killed on that horrible day. Upon hearing about this, the photographer was moved to give away a 30 minute family photo shoot to a family that could use a session for some family photos, and has challenged other photographers to do the same. I’d like to take part in this and give a free session to a family that would otherwise not be able to afford a custom photography session.

Many of us photographers are parents and were deeply saddened by the recent news out of Newtown CT, and many of us felt there was no way to help or to commemorate the children. So, if you are so inclined, here is our chance. Photographers are participating as far away as South Africa, Japan, Australia, Canada and of course the United States.
HOW CAN YOU PARTICIPATE?
Nominate a family in need. I will be taking nominations for a family who you think would appreciate this gift of photos. The session will take place sometime in the next few months (depending on weather). You can email your nominations to me at b.anderson.photography@gmail.com with the subject “Olivia Act”. Please include the family’s name, contact info, and why you’re nominating them. I’ll be taking nominations through January 31st and notify the family by February 8th. Their session will remain anonymous and will not be posted here as anything other than a regular family session.
I will give a 30 minutes session and the digital images to the chosen family.
This is my way of helping, if I can bring joy to one family with my photos, it will certainly feel good in the face of all this tragedy.
Please share this effort. If you are a photographer, consider participating too and share this post!
THANKS! ♥
