Head shots.....{Thornton Colorado Photographer}

I took these images a couple months ago for some local businesses. 

First meet Corrie from CLB Photography. She is the awesome photographer that snapped these pictures of me and my kiddos. She is located in the North Denver area and keeps your session full of fun!

 It is amazing what changing the head tilt does. These images were taken seconds from each other.

Corrie is such a fun, FUN, girl and amazing photographer!

Next meet Aaron from The Marriage and Family Clinic. He is a Marriage and Family Therapist (in case you didn't get that from the clinics name :) located in Westminster. These are his head shots for his website and profile pictures.

Homegrown Friday....{Thornton Colorado Photographer}

So a few years ago I learned how to crochet and became addicted to yarn.

Buying yarn, looking at yarn, feeling yarn, and looking at all the wonderful things I could do with yarn. 

Sadly, just like many of my other crafty addictions it turned more into a hoarding hobby than an actual crafting hobby :) So years later I still have those many, many, many, skeins of yarn but have no energy or motivation to make anything out of it.

So today I would like to introduce a little eye candy for all those yarn lovers like myself :) I LOVE her hats and the best part is if you are an actual crocheter (is that a word??) or knitter you can buy her pattern to make it yourself.

Where did the names come from?  Jkclaver was how I logged in to Etsy…I was stuck with that shop name.  Firefly is after the movie and series.

Where are you located?  Broomfield/Westminster, CO

When did you start your business?  2010  I was bored when the kids were at school and needed to feel more productive.

Tell us about your product and the concepts behind it:  hand knit and crochet items (I’ll make anything!)  I love a challenge.

What makes your product/business so unique?  I really love making the items… you only get something I would want to have myself.

What are your secerts for having a business while raising a family?  I’m fortunate to stay at home.  I get a lot done while the kids are at school.

Who is your biggest inspiration?  My mom.

Where are you from?  Boulder, Colorado

Tell us about your family? I have 2 great boys (10 & 11 years) and an awesome hubby

What is your favorite place to eat?  Chicken soft tacos at the Armadillo.

What is your favorite color?  Dark blue/purple.

Favorite piece of clothing or accessory?  Anything comfortable.

What makes you smile?  My kids.

Where did the name come from? Feathers and glitter are very popular in fashion right now and I wanted something that could be fashionable and affordable for moms to purchase for their little girls.

Do you have a storefront, website, blog, Facebook or Etsy? I have a Facebook and an Etsy Shop.

When did you start your business? I started it last year (2011) in June

Where are you currently located? Thornton, CO


Tell us about your family? I just got married on November 11, 2011 and We are expecting our first daughter in October. I have two dogs, Sydney Lou the golden lab retriever and china the chihuahua. I have a huge extended family that is there to support me through everything. My family means so much to me.

Tell us about your product and the concepts behind it: I sale hair accessories that are affordable for everyone. I don't like to spend a Million dollars on homemade items, so no one else should have to. The concept is great fashion at affordable prices.

What makes your product/business so unique? It's unique because it doesn't cost an arm and a leg for a homemade hair accessory. Also everything I make is made with love. I don't just take a flower or bow  and tack  a clip to it.

What are your secerts for having a business while raising a family? I don't have a secret. Anyone can see how I work. :) I try to keep thing equal

Who is your biggest inspiration? My mom and grandmother. They are both very crafty people. They showed me everything I know.

Where are you from? Cortez, CO


What is your favorite place to eat? My favorite place to eat is at home because I love to cook and bake and try out new recipes. You can't get home cooking anywhere but home.

What is your favorite color? Purple is my favorite color. Has been since I was little


Favorite piece of clothing or accessory? My favorite accessory is my wedding ring. It makes me have something to look forward to everyday.

Favorite vacation spot? My favorite place I have ever vacationed was Alaska. It's a beautiful place.

What makes you smile? Little baby giggles, talking to my family and feeling my baby girl kick.

When you have free time what is your favorite thing to do? I like to hang out in the sun, hang out with my in laws, go shopping, sing, dance, and do crafts.

Summer Lovin'...{Thornton Colorado Photogarpher}

......had me a BLAST! 

I LOVE summer! 

I love the bright fun colors, wearing fun flowery sandals, lemonade stands, popsicles, family and friend BBQ's, swimming, and all the time I get to spend with my kids. 

With summer being halfway over I figured I would give you some What to Wear guides. Enjoy them and use them as inspiration, even for early fall. I love just a little pop of color!

Summer Days....{Thornton Colorado Family Photographer}

Summer days are getting fewer and fewer! It is amazing to me how fast the summer goes. I had all these plans of things to do with my kids during summer break, and have decided now that we only have about a month before school starts I better get doing them :) But the hot summer days make me want to stay in my nice cool house and eat Mr. Freeze pops while reading books to my kids. 

Anyway, through all the heat and fires this summer I have been able to photograph so many great families! Here is one that I met last fall. They are so much fun and lil' Mister is so darn cute! Being the age he is, he was go, go, go the whole session :) Here are a few of their shots. Enjoy!
